Well worth the cost

Wow. I am using your 7-day trial to edit my novel and I am very impressed!

I tried several applications (Word 2010, Whitesmoke, etc.) to get my book ready for publication, yet none of them worked even half as well as your product. Your system caught things that Word and Whitesmoke completely missed.

I am estimating about at most two months worth of editing time. As such, I have found Grammarly not only better, but much cheaper than the alternatives.

Thank you Grammarly!

Speaking English as a second language and study as a mature aged student at  a university,  I struggled with the lack of feedback on how I actually perform in English. Especially rating my university works against plagiarism was so fearsome, I was looking for help. Then I  found EssayRater...and I was pleased immediately.  My fear of an unintentional  plagiarism  problem solved, along with sentence structure and synonyms.

Since EssayRater changed to Grammarly, I  see lots of improvements within the application.  I am also learning more writing technical terms, which comes handy to correct myself and see higher marks rated for my draft before I submit. I use Word 2010 and Whitesmoke, and all of these are helpful in many ways. However, I like Grammarly the most because of the great help its gives for  academics with an immediate feedback.

Thank you for keeping it going.

I really am having a hard time understanding why anyone would want to cancel their subscription to Grammarly. I will admit that I was a little disappointed with the program at first because there wasn't anyway to select the type of writing style i.e. technical, formal, academic, etc. But Grammarly listened to our suggestions and have added that feature. They even added a box that can be checked to get Grammarly to accepted as being correctly spelled when the built-in dictionary doesn't recognize it as being spelled correctly. Grammarly appears to be making daily upgrades to the program that only increases its usefulness to me.

At $19.95 a month, it's a bargain.

HI, I really liked grammarly, used 7 days trial, then bought for the whole year. This is a great help although they have to do some improvements. For example grammarly does not show missing articles or i would say 85% of them-very important for foreign learners. Some sentences structure and other mistakes are need some improvemen, as wellt. Wish it has more correct answers suggestions instead of long explanations that are totally confusing,

Yes this service sounds most wonderful! I am certain it meets my expectations as someone writing in the language of English, and these testimonials and profile pictures do not sound or look at all paid for! What a magnificent service this Grammarly must be!

....But seriously, way to use fake reviews and testimonials. The sign of a worthwhile company is definitely Google Ads, fake reviews and stock profile pictures (that was sarcastic--can Grammarly pick up sarcasm?). Way to be, guys. I'll be telling my students about your service, but probably not what you'd like me to say.

Matthew, I'm an actual person, my testimonial is not a fake, and my profile picture is actually a photo of me. And for the record, because I found Grammarly so helpful this past year, I recently renewed my annual subscription for a second year. Grammarly is a tremendous asset to me and others who are clearly not as well educated as you must be. But in regards to your assesment of Grammarly, you are obviously mistaken and don't have any idea what you are talking about.

I found Grammarly is the best of all, just need to upgrade the IT dept a little more on technical support, sometime all the buttons( clear, paste, copy, cut) just grayed out ,and nothing working, causing some delay. But other than that Grammarly is wonderful. Thank you Grammarly!

I am a doctoral student from Taiwan. To be honest Grammarly helped me a lot in rectifying the grammatical errors in my research papers and also helped me in improving my vocabulary, and sentence formation.. Checking Plagiarism is an extremely valuable tool that helps researchers inwriting scientific papers. It is worth buying for a researcher without a proficient English background. I am immensely thankful to Grammarly. Keep improving.

wow these comments inspire me to buy the product. is it possible to use someone's credit card ( eg my brothers) because I don't have one but have only debit cards. Is grammarly trustworthy in terms of debiting? i am afraid because I was once a victim of fraud.

Hi, the system is reliable in 99% of the times I have used it. But the remaining 1% tends to be problematic because there are some files (for instance pdf files) that the plagiarism checker doesn´t recognize (a student plagiarized her paper and Grammarly didn´t showed any problem with it). So be careful and perform double check with plagiarism.

I have no doubt that non-native users of English find this program to be a great help, but I think someone should also point out that for checking an edited manuscript created by a native speaker with some experience of writing, it is of very limited use. Having employed the program to check a 128,000 word manuscript, I can safely say that only a dozen or so of the thousand plus "mistakes" picked up were actual errors overlooked by the editors. Had I accepted the rest and allowed the changes in the document, it would have turned it from a manuscript almost ready for publication into a hopeless jumble of nonsensical garbage. This is to say nothing of the recommended  "enhancements" which were, every single one of them, an invitation to delete the only appropriate word with one that would have been meaningless within the context of the sentence.

I have no doubt that Grammarly can be used to bring a poorly written document into the sphere of readability, but no one should be under the illusion that it can teach you how to write. There are simply too many nuances in language for that to be even remotely feasible.
